Currently there is no option to start ProgDVB from the remote. The remote can be used (if compatible) only after starting the application.
You can use a 3th party application to start ProgDVB using the remote.

Most likely you have enabled the Auto update channels list from the options dialog.

Check if the timeshit is not disabled from settings.

Settings>Options>Timeshift Buffer

It is useless if the software can support DVB-S2 if your hardware (SkyStar2) does not know this.

Your device doesn't support DVB-S2. Therefore it cannot work on that transponder.

Have you made any changes to the options during install? Like changes to the remote settings.

Well I have tried the scheduled recording for two days and it has worked for me.

The setting was to do nothing if ProgDVB not started. Therefore I have left the application open and the recordings have started.

Tried with recordings set from EPG and some manually set ones.

How much memory you have installed on your PC?

If you want a bigger timeshift buffer you can set it on HDD

If you have the timeshift buffer in memory try to set a smaller buffer (300MB). It should work.... at least for me it works with max 650MB. This for the SD channels for the HD ones I also have black preview but I think it comes from the video card (not sure yet).

There was a problem with the PIP on DVB-S devices. Try the latest released version 6.63.6 or the latest pre-release 6.63.7 For me it started working on these ones.
