AC3 support 2.0 speaker until 5.1 there's no problem

I know that, but there's three different selection :

Audio
AC3 audio
ACC audio

in Audio the AC3 filter not exist ( just possible in AC3 audio ) !!!!, so for channels that not support AC3 . The filter used is the one in Audio

it's codecs/filters problem . u must choose filter ( video,multiplexer ) that already registered in direct show or u can register a certain filter u want to use .
