I CAN'T ENTER THE OPTION MENU EVERY TIME I WANT TO CHANGE CHANNEL.
WHAT I CAN DO?

There must be a technical reason for this.
And probably it's related with codec switching or similar, caused by changing transmission parameters.

What satellite / cable / terrestrial service, exactly?
What hardware and driver?
What version(s) of ProgDVB?

What audio modes are involved?
What resolution, symbol rate?
What codecs used then, before and after station change?

I will not continue before getting all the details I've requested, in one answer posting.

software version: ProgDVB 5.15.1
OS: XP english
Codec: Elecard VMR-9
satellite : AMOS "channel 2", freq 11177V SR=8520 FEC=2/3.
and also "KNESET" channel: freq:11625 V SR=3000 FEC=3/4.
problem: Every time O change to this channel there is black screen.
I solve this problem by enter the OPTION menu and after press OK.
every time. I don't want to enter this option every time I want to change channel.

Then provide the relevant parameters, like what codecs getting changed or not switching correctly, on what resolution, aspect ratio, audio mode or whatever else, that causes this to happen.

What do I have to do to make it work fine?

Try to record from the non working stations, mpg format.
Tell us if the file size rises then.
If yes, try to play back outside of ProgDVB.

Live and from file, compare parameters like video resolution, audio mode (standard or AC3, monaural or stereo or multi channel) and data rate, of that non working stations and a few others.

I don't get your birds over here, so I can't test directly.

Seems no other user of that satellite reads here and likes to assist.
So there's no other way to get closer to the cause of your problem, than to analyse as precisely and logical as possible.

BTW, did you compare with any other version of ProgDVB or another DVB software?
Did you try another renderer?
Or another codec,like from your DVD player software or e.g. ffdshow (freeware)?

i will add something, i have same issue after upgrade to 5.15.01 PRO
but its only issue on HDTV channels, to fix it i have to go to OPTION and after wake up window channel will be ok no need to change options just open the options window.

HW spec
Skystar HD2 (def drivers) works on old version of PROGDVB
HDTV codec CoreAVC
OS Vista x64

like i wrote issue can be found after upgrade SW up to 5.15.01 PRO

just 5 min ago i test 5.15.02 but its same like on 5.15.01.

small update
rename/remove empgpdmx.ax don't help.

the problem is not with the record.
I want to see the channel and it is black screen. I enter the OPTION menu and press OK and after that the channel is OK.

there is two channel on this transponder. one channel work OK and the other need to enter the OPTION menu and press OK.


In version 4 of progDVB there isn't any problem. It is work OK.

In other software like DVBViewer or DVBDream there is no problem but I preffer the progDVB because the EPG is for all the channels and work with HEBREW fine.

perhaps you can compare the new versions with the old versions of progdvb to see what the problem is, for example progdvb 5.11.xx (that is the last correct working version) from version 5.12.xx up to version 5.15.2 each version has this problem.

if i delete empgpdmx.ax sound problem is fixed but then i got the blackscreen problem (channel name is kanal t at 42.0 on transponder 11996 sr 26000 this channel has blackscreen) if i put empgpdmx.ax file back on the filters directory that channel now has picture but the sound problem appears on other channels.

P.S. that same channel which has blackscreen after deleting empgpdmx.ax file i think causes the sound problem because when i switch on that channel and i switch back to another channel i got the sound problem. then when i go to options menu and press ok button or i restart progdvb problem is fixed

P.S. without deleting empgpdmx.ax file some people have blackscreen and some people have sound problem (for me it is sound problem)
after deleting empgpdmx.ax i suggest some channels have always blackscreen either i enter options menu and press ok button it did'nt help for me.
