Bloody unbelievable pls help

#1
I gave up temporarily to install progDVB on my small living room multimedia ITX PC.
I have on it an AverTv Hybrid Volar HX with its own sofware.

I have run uninstaller of progdvb, and all Elecard stuff, then run CCleaner to clean the registry...
I record stuff, and it still has the Elecard chastity belt logo ..... :?:
when i play back the file it has the Elecard logo on the picture.

Mind you, I recorded it on my small PC, but played it on the big PC...
On that, I have an old noname card with ProgDvb+elecard trial version...

Is it possible, that the elecard logo gets there only at playback phase?
The small comp is not connected now, I will check tomorrow if the logo is there when played back there..
In the meantime, can anybody advise, how to entirely sanitise the system of Elecard?
I run a search in Explorer for all files ending .ax, or whatever...the only place that had what looks like elecard codec are the old installation files..

just to clarify,

on a system from which to my best knowledge I have removed ProgDvb and all Elecard codecs,
and am using an USB tuner with its own bundled software, the picture still has the Elecard logo, so I assume some sort of an Elecard codec is still inside that computer somewhere.
So I am facing the threat that when the license expires, I wont even be able to use what I have legitimately bought which is a major pain in the
Arsch(Loch).

/If only I properly knew what a codec is that would make life easier...
but I am aware this is not a lecture hall.

well..
the problem seems to be in the Second normal desktop...
when I play the files in media player classic, there is no elecard logo. It was there, before I enabled Mpeg2 filter in Internal filters of Media Player Classic.

Window media player always has the Elecard logo.
In registry editor, Windows media player.exe is in some kind of subfolder to Elecard..
So Elecard has taken over my PC...

De-register the elecard codec by use of the file "unregister.cmd" (or "unregister.bat" in older versions).
Look into it with the editor, to understand.

ProgDVB's recordings don't transport codecs to another system. They are not infective..
But there's a high chance, you did just install the codec there once and forgot to remove it later on.

BTW, MPC uses it's own set of codecs, not those available from the system.
