When updating to 6.63.02 with Technisat BDA-Mantis SkyStar2-HD I lost mot of HD-stations on Astra.
1festival, Servus are still available, ARD, ZDF not more.
OK, starting to reread the transponderlist ProDVB crashes with:

works perfect til 6.63.01

Mayb I´ve not described the pronlem far enough.
The working channels in HD (1festival, Servus) are without any problems.

ARD and ZDF-HD and arte DISPPEARED from the stationslist.
So thats the reason I wanted to reread the channellist, which gives the reported crash.

Also: The program crashes when leaving in Win7-64 still.

Interesting to know: the programmed timers show empty cnhanelnames now: but: working ;-( !
--> VLC gives the content perfect.
6.63.03 prerelease does the same.

Si I dont think the codecs or demux are the problem....
The channels disappered from the channellist (even from favourites) and I cant reread the channellist because of the reported crash.

A prior tip from your side was to install the program with user-defined directories. Thsi worked for a while, but I assume, the files wont be writebal anymore...

Can i remove the users dir withoout problems and than reinstall ProgDVB?

Yes, ProgDVB store all data in one directory (or two) and you can remove files. But I think that is not help. I plan more test of this channel.

Please check the DVB-S transponder 11837 H 27500, for SD stations "Das Erste", "Bayerisches FS Süd", "Bayerisches FS Nord", "WDR Köln", "hr-fernsehen" and "SWR Fernsehen BW".

ProgDVB offers only 11836, which is correct I think. I manually set to 11837 H additionally.
Result: Das Erste HD, ZDF HD, arte HD - not a single SD will be found;-(

Check vice versa: same cable connected to a dox2: no problem!

1 MHz up or down should not matter normally, as the real frequency is right in between.

However, how are your signal / quality readings there?
If not good, how are those on 11798 H 27500 and 11876 H 27500?
Stations are all scrambled there, but level and quality should be good anyway.
If not, try to find out, if you are getting any other HighBand Horizontal transponders.
If not, possible switching or LNB issue.
A temporary fix might be, to set the switching threshold to the technical maximum of 11900 MHz, by this receiving "Das Erste" SD over LowBand.
This is can be done, because the bands are overlapping a bit.

Switching issues won't lead to that transponders getting mixed up, as the resulting IF are different.
And there are six TV stations on 11837, not just three.
Obviously you've scanned the wrong transponder.
Maybe you forgot (or failed) to lock ("Einrasten") to the transponder before scanning, by this scanning the one you were on just before.
Or did you set the LOF values different from default???

the still setted timers didnt work anymore.
I´ll try to delete them and manually enter again.
The list byself (4 programs daily) looks ok... but was last executed on 13th of this month.
Even if now "Das Erste HD" is present again - it wont work.

Settings are Service by ProgDVB.
So there must be a "broken link" between Timerlist and channellist OR:
a broken Link to the srevice of ProgDVB.

LOF is normal. Why the hell the Technisat-Program works also like a dbox2 at the same cable (not parrallel, one after the other!)

H / V switching is done by LNB voltage changing between 18 and 13 volts.

Band switching is done by deactivation (for LowBand) or activation (for HighBand) of a 22 kHz carrier signal.
This switching depends on proper LOF settings, including the switching frequency value.
For European market standard hardware, the defaults of ProgDVB are correct. The switch value may be set to anywhere between 11550 and 11900 MHz without losses, as the bands are overlapping a bit. This may be helpful if the LNB is partly weak, either on the upper end of LowBand or the lower end of HighBand.

13/18V and 22kHz I recognice not as a switching;-) But youre right: ok, this will be done.

As you might remember, I yesterday created the timers new (delete old, create new)
Result: 1st Timer didnt work, 2nd did, 3rd didnt (yes, PC reboot to allow new service to be started.)

Even if the computer was up before for hours?


You've just mentioned a position switch for Eutelsat and Astra.
Is that installed right now?

If yes, it might perhaps initiate to an undefined state on LNB power on, even without any DiSEqC signals applied.
Such can happen even without any electronics being bad, e.g. if tuner or driver does not wake up properly from some system sleep mode.
Try to set the system controls to disallow any sleep modes for that device.

Another aspect, some position switches still are downward compatible with older switching methods, like ToneBurst or even 22 kHz position control.
Many years ago, Eutelsat, the inventors of DiSEqC, allowed that for DiSEqC switches after power on, until the very first DiSEqC control signal was received.
This may be a reason, to not act properly after LNB power on. So if a sleep mode also interrupts the LNB voltage supply, it's hard power on after device wake up.

I've had similar trouble here, some years ago, before I changed from standard LNBs to a mains powered multiswitch system, using Quattro LNBs with fixed outputs and 4/1 DiSEqC switches just managing the multiswitch outputs.


Well, even if your position switch is not installed right now, you should perhaps deactivate energy saving / sleep modes for your tuner.
