Re: ProgDVB 6.7x / Engine 5.1 testing
#17I have an question, in progdvb, what vendor you choose for empia chipsets, like haupphauge hvr930c, terratec htc xs, msi digivox II, etc, all with empia 2884, 2885.
Dvbviewer choose vendor 28 for this chipset.
Also, AUTO QAM is set to automatic or manual in progdvb on this chipset?
Thank you.

Re: ProgDVB 6.7x / Engine 5.1 testing
#20I got a strange behavior on 6.80.1 Pro during scanning.
e.g. satellite 16.0E has 71 transponders defined in all.list. When scanning, it starts with 1 of 71 and then switches to 102 total transponders which is not correct. Later, on transponder 40 the scanning crashes with message "Device not started".
The same with Hellasat 39E, 53 transponders at beginning, then switches to 58 and than crash... And after crash, computer restart is needed.
Did not scan with recent versions, so i can not say if it is only in 6.80.1...
LE: Tried an old version. The channel number issue was there already in 6.61.3, but without the crash...
Regards,
Marius

#22Technisat Skystar HD (the same with Technotrend S2-3200) running with ttbudget BDA driver 5.0.1.8 on Vista32.
Setup is with diseqc 1.1 switch 1/10 with 10 LNB, from 39E to 0.8W
I tried drivers from 5.0.0.6 to 5.0.18, and one vista driver "installed by force" version 5.0.3.5 (it said vista but doesn't install by default - so i hacked a little). All with the same result.
E.g. on 16.0E all crash on transponder 40, 11000MHz H, SR 5000 (It is not low SR related since others with SR 2894 and 4444 are scanned correct).
What i noted: on the old version, the transponder shows level full and quality 0. On the last version it shows level abt. 50% and quality full, it hangs a few minutes (with "not responding" if i try stop or cancel) and then crashes with driver fault.
As i said version 6.61.3 scans correctly except the numbers. I had no nerve to reinstall other versions to check, just picked this older version randomly from what i had around.
The number issue is on all satellites is probably just cosmetic. It starts with the correct number, e.g 1 of 72, than during scan it goes progressively up, in the end being something like 105 of 106. However the scan is correct.

Re: ProgDVB 6.7x / Engine 5.1 testing
#24If I remember correctly (it is now about 4 years...), they didn't work stable on Vista. I installed the TT ones and never tried again the original since the TT ones worked perfectly for me since 2008.
But the hardware is identical, including the same PnP identifiers.

Re: ProgDVB 6.7x / Engine 5.1 testing
#25No crash for me on that transponder. The program looks like it has frozen for a minute or two then it finds the two channels from there: SERVICE LIVE 1 and SERVICE PLAYOUT
However being a feed transponder it can be that in your case there was a different TV station broadcasting at that time.
Tested on 6.80.01 with the configuration from the signature + TT driver 5.0.1.8

#27Heh...
Reinstalled a fresh copy of 6.80.1 in another folder and it worked ok.
Reinstalled fresh in the same folder and it seems ok.
Now maybe this was transponder content related (feed) or some odd registry values or old registered filters which became normal....
I can not explain it and can not reproduce the error any more.
LE: Error still there, but on other transponders, this time on 0.8W 24=10962,H,1550,78 (this transponder doesn't exist on latest lists by the way, but is in all.list). There is no signal (level and quality are 0) but it hangs and crashes.
Tried also with BDA driver set to windows standard, with the same result.
I will stay with the older version for the moment.
This is what i found in reports:
Anyway, tnx for the support.
