If the remote receiver passes through the DVB hardware, sorry, not for now.

ProgDVB only supports SS1 style DVB card remotes as such, over that device file and driver.

Other IR handsets either have to be used over a WinLIRC solution (if using an integrated receiver interface), or in case of a MS style HID driver used external USB or (virtual) COM port receiver or similar. May then work as keyboard emulation, reqiring to be teached in as key strokes, not remote control.

Integrating proprietary remote controls into 3rd party software requires more technical information than most manufacturers would be willing to give away, or even a full SDK (like Technotrend gave away for free, for SS1 / premium cards), to include in a device module and connect to the driver by this.

Regarding BDA driven hardware, that would even be a matter of MS license agreements with hardware manufacturers, terribly expensive and obviously limited by intention...
