Please be precise.
What exactly do you mean by finding a channel?
First time scanning from an empty channel list?
Or if scanning a transponder manually?
Or if first time uising a 3rd party channel list?
Or what ever else?
After first time scanning a completely new channel list (started with a completely empty channels folder), are there any stations stored then?

When ProgDVB shuts down like you told, do you get any error message?
What version(s) of ProgDVB?
What driver and original software version, exactly?
What OS and DirectX version?
DVB related patches from MS installed?
Did you use the search function and read suitable threads here?

We're talking digital computer issues here, not human behaviour. This for, let's try to go logical and systematical.
