tbs-q Box issues using and amd board and cpu

#1
Hi I am quite new to the dvb world but have done quite a bit of reading. My issue is I recently built a new computer just for my dvb s qbox. It is an asus dual core amd 64 (m2a-vm) motherboard with a +4800 cpu. the board is designed to support dvi, blu-ray and hd dvd. I then added a better video card a ati radeon 2400 hdmi video. the machine has 1 gig of ddr2 ram and 40 gig hdd. Anyway i hook up the q box install progdvb everything goes fine setup lnb go to do a scan of transponders and qbox light goes solid green as if it is scanning and progdvb freezes. The only way I can shut program down is to unplug power on qbox. I have tried this using all versions of progdvb and xp and vista os. I should mention if i hook the qbox to an intel board with xp and my ati pciexpress card it works just fine. It appears to be an issue with the amd does anyone have any suggestions other than buying an intel board and cpu?
