Problem with Hauppauge HVR-1200 and v5 and v4

Hi there. Could someone please direct me to the right direction in solving the problem with Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1200 (Model 71xxx, Hybrid DVB-T, no FP) - so it says in Device Manager. V5 doesn't work at all, V4 does but when changing the channel it either "freezes" or doesn't show the picture (I can hear the sound, though). I tried to do everything according to the splendid manual made by Thomas Hillard, but no success. This is Standard Edition I am trying. I have no plugins installed. The Hauppauge PCI card came installed in my machine, HP Pavilion Elite m9066.sc, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2,61 Ghz, 3 GB RAM, 500 GB HD, and I am running 32-bit Win XP SP3 UK English edition. Thanks ever so much - please ask for more details, this was all I could tell with current understanding.
