I have a Windows XP SP3 machine with an Asus My Cinema U3000mini USB tuner. The tuner and aerial work perfectly with DVB on my laptop but when I plug it into my desktop, it cannot find any channels (using the same antenna). Whyen you scan for channels the signal strength is showing at maximum, but the "Quality" indicator is zero.

I have tried updating all the drivers on the machine, but still cannot get it working.

Any suggestions? Are there any programs known to clash with BDA drivers and ProgDVB?

As that other machine works fine, compare your settings precisely, specially DVB driver and device related.

Juergen thanks for the prompt response. I am using exactly the same driver for the DVB tuner in both machines.

The only major difference I can find between the 2 machines is that the laptop (where it works) is XP SP2 whereas the desktop (where it does not work) is XP SP3.

Normally the service pack should not matter.
The strange L & Q scale readings point to some driver issue.
