hello people, so here's my problem:
I brought a SkyView 3 satellite card (which I start thinking it was a bad idea!)
they gave me a CD with it, containing 4 things to install :
-Driver
-DVBPlayer
-ProgDVB
-direct X 9.0

so, as I'm using WIN7 I skipped the direct X 9.0... but everything else was installed. and using DVBPlayer I received all free channels! but as I was searching over the internet, I understood that ProgDVB is much more interesting...but each time I tried opening it, it told me that no device is detected. I installed the latest version and I understood that there is no SKYVIEW 3 suported.
can anyone help please?

As they have put ProgDVB onto the CD, for sure they will have found a way, to make it work.
Probably this was done by a custom device file, that was made for and put into that ProgDVB installation.
So first find out, which Windows version(s) exactly this was made for. RTFM...
Most important for compatibility may be, if that's for a 64 or 32 bit system.
You may want to (try to) extract and borrow that special device file, and try it on your system, AFTER having installed the drivers and perhaps original software.
