Hello everyone,

yesterday I got my new dual tuner card - TBS 6991 and I'm struggling to get it work properly. Each time I exit Progdvb, application freezes, maxes out 1 core on CPU and refuses to shut down even when I try to kill process via task manager. I made short video, link bellow. Logs are in attachment.

Only way to get it working again is restart Windows. It's 8.1 x64.

Also I'm looking to use CI interface as I would like to record some programs from payed TV. So far I had luck to get CI card work for some time with 32 bit version of ProgDVB only. Are there any known limitations it's good know about?

Any help would be highly appreciated. Let me know if you need more info.

Do you have crash without CI? Try remove TbsCIapi1.dll? Also try remove tbs.ebda2

Video was made without inserted CI module and removing 2 mentioned files did not help neither.

Do you use ProgDVB x32? Try disable modules also.

yes I'm using 32 bit version now, as I think 64 version didn't play anything when I had CI module inserted.

I disabled all modules (TS Recorder, Prog Media Server Home), rebooted PC - channels do play like before, but application still freezes on exit.

small update:

I have managed to get working my setup with DVB Dream (2 instances running, each for 1 tuner), 2 simultaneous HD channels decoded, one of them decrypted by CI module... (can provide video if needed)

That means there's something wrong with ProgDVB, what makes me really sad - I bought ProgDVB recently as it's vastly superior to DVB Dream.

Anything I could help you out with fixing this issue for me? Logs, debugging, etc?

is there any chance that ProgDVB will ever work for me

If not I will be quite pissed, as I bought ProgDVB about month back before I bought new DVB card and now application is pretty much useless.

What problem you have now? With CI or freez?

still the same freeze on exit, CI works. As said before DVBDream works (as well as CI), but ProgDVB is clearly far better application, that's why I bought it.

Any idea how to actually figure out what is causing the freeze?

do you remove tbs.ebda2 ?

Yes I did, modules disabled, tbs.ebda2 removed, TbsCIapi1.dll removed, also tested latest prerelease version 7.06.6a. Yet it still freezes on exit and hangs up the process (tuner becomes locked)

i have same problem freezing when i exit progdvb(i try last 4 version ) + and i cant open two channel in same time . - this problem disappear on dvbdream but i cant use it because i used progdvb more than 4 years

Try select Microsoft mode in Settings->Device options

Does anyone know if there is native support in LinHES for the TBS6284 tuner? Its one of the very few that supports DVB-T2 HD outside north America.
There are Linux drivers for it, but they need to be compiled...
