Hi there,

I have a Skystar 1 card (Hauppauge Nexus-CA) and I first installed the original drivers from www.hauppaug.de (dvb219.exe) and the original Software is working fine.

Then I tried the newest version 4.82.3 of progdvb. It shows only Level, but when i try to search for channels, none are found .

Then i installed the driver from technotrends (dvb219.exe), obviously they are the same. Still no change. Original Software still working fine.

WatchTV Pro Phoenix Edition is working fine as well, but the plugins are not working there .

How can it be that WatchTV Pro is working fine, but prog dvb not?

Can it be because the quality is low (20-50% in WatchTV Pro)

Low quality on a Nexus means, really bad signal, one way or the other.
Tiny differences may decide over finding or losing signals, like f.e. a little different tuner control (AGC/AFC) or search (PLL) timings, then.
AFAIK, all NEXUS card tuners, -S / -T / -C, should give 100%Q under normal conditions.
On my -S the limit for signal loss is around 20 - 50% Q, depending on bandwidth / data rate used.
Even there, (old freeware version) WTVP used different timings for scanning, giving different results on weak signals.
