Re: Pause recording ?

Even if the recording software would be able, to pause precisely at the end of a GOP and continue exactly at the beginning of another, this would still cause trouble for more than one reason:

- video VBR buffer fill state would surely differ, this for causing an unpredictable and uncompensated A/V offset
- for similar reasons, AC3 / Dolby Digital audio streams may also get an extra offset
- time code will get corrupted, causing lots of trouble on reprocessing of any kind or even on playback on most players around, hard- or software based
- TS recordings may contain more than just that streams, and some of those should better not get interrupted at all.

This for, recordings should always be stopped and a new one started, or continued in one piece and get cut later on.
