Prog freezes at channel change.

Hi,

I am in the St Louis Mo Gateway Computer Club of about 235 guys.
One of the guys shared in the last meeting about ProgDVB.
About 33 of us, so far, installed it on our various computers.
A third of us (11) have a freeze problem if we change the channel.

We have searched this forum for answers and tried these fixes:
Instal WMP11
Turn ON or Off "Use Audio Processor"
Disable modules/Prog Media Server
Various Codec packs
We have tried previous versions (EG 6.02.01)
Disabling the Time Shift Buffer
I may be forgetting some others we tried as well.
We disabled software firewalls and anti virus progs

Almost everyone of use has stayed with Win XP but some of the guys
who have the very same issue use Vista. 3 of us have tried more than one computer with the same results.

Here is what happens to most of us:
We can start up ProgDVB and select any channel and watch it OK.
If we change to another it appears to want to open the channel but
freezes after 1 second or so.
It then switches to say "Error" and then often loads a blue bar in the "kb's/s bar from right to left.
Sometimes the frozen image will move for 1 or 2 seconds after a pause of various time.
Now get this:
If we turn off the program and restart it it will play fine until we try and change channels again. ('')

We saw numerous posts on this topic or very similar issues.
I am sure many will want to invest in the pro version
but not if they do not see a fix 1st.

Any ideas?

Thanks very much[/list]

BTW, what service(s) are you using ProgDVB on, with what hardware, exactly?

I had this problem also, all the time, 6.. versions up to 6.02.03, not any more in 6.03. versions (there other bugs showed up). When I stayed to the frozen channel, opened up the options dialog and closed it, without changing anything, the channel was working. At the next channel change the problem occured again, almost every channel was involved, some few, surprisingly, not.

Any suggestions as to what to do, Im running Windows XP and the game gets just to the part where Arthur is made into a cartoon-like character, and then it freezes at the same point every time. Im going to try and re-install the game, but other than that, what do you suggest?

What game :?:
Arthur who :?:
The answer is 42

What in the universe does this have to do with ProgDVB :?:
My suggestion:
Please give proof, this is serious and DVB related...
