Unable to scan for new channels (BDA Digital)

#1
Hello,

I am a user of ProgDVB Pro, and never really had any problems with the software. Recently I've done some recabling due to the fact that I was missing some channels (signal quality). Now that the work is done and signal is top notch however, I find that I am unable to scan for new channels. Namely, scanning for {BDA} Digital TV channels doesn't seem to do anything. The scanning process apparently never starts... I'm pretty sure I should be able to find all channels because they are all either MPEG-2 or MPEG-4/H.264AVC. I attach a screenshot of the scanning window, which is what I see. No progress is shown in the window even after say 10-20 minutes... I'm running the latest version of ProgDVB, 6.46.6.

Please advise

Thank you for your help,
Antonis

Looks like you did not tell ProgDVB, what to scan for.
Like you did not tell us, if it would be cable, terrestrial or satellite.
Zero out of zero transponders scanned, logically this would then be a perfect result...

It seems, ProgDVB does not recognize a valid device (now).
What tuner do you have?
Does that appear in Windows hardware manager? If so, what's it's name there?
Does the original software work, that came with the tuner?

Details rule.

Card is a Lifeview LV8H NOTOnlyTV PCI-E Hybrid. (funny name, I know).

That is, supports both Analogue and DVB-T.

Shows up as "Digital Hybrid PCI Express" in Device Manager (Driver provider is Conexant), though I suspect some entries such as "Legacy Video Capture Devices" could also be because of the tuner.

Software that came with the card worked, but:
1. It was a media-center-like solution, which I don't really fancy
2. It was crash-prone

Indeed, I don't really care about analogue. The problem I had was that when I first installed ProgDVB it scanned for channels. But recently, I had some cabling done. At the same time, new channels started broadcasting in DVB-T, so I figured I'd do a new search. For some reason this hasn't worked, but I was able to workaround by blind search and transponder search.
