AN error for you to sort out -

See the end of this message for details on invoking

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Also if a channel has a weak signal, why does your program take forever to do something? Why not just say the channel cant lock and let me move on instead of making me wait over a minute before i can change channel. My DigiTV software that came with my tv capture card does that. channel lock failure, ok thanks, move on... oh and sometimes when i change channel with my remote now it decides to show one channel for a second and automatically skip on to the next... strange indeed, it seems to have developed that behaviour in the last few days. and yes i got the shift problem to, about to try the fix supplied and see if that works.

Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here

Since the added feature "speed of channel changing" progdvb started to crash and give the bugs.
I tried "slow, normal, fast" fruitless.
Version 6.63.2 works most stable with SkyStar USB HD and SkyStar HD2 on windows 7 x64, tested with BDA and WDM drivers.
Tested all versions from 6.63.2 to 6.63.8 including none that is not crashing.

Strange one...

Hi!
I am evaluating ProgDVB x32 Professional v6.63.7. I have Win7-x64 and a Q-BOX CI card.
When I watch TV using ProgDVB, the "Shift" key of my Logitech USB wireless keyboard stops working. This doesn't happen when I watch TV using Windows Media Center. Any clue?

ccristal

P.S. The reason why I'm not using the x64 version is that I find the x86 one to be overall more stable. I had downloaded and tried v6.63.8-x64, but it kept crashing every time I modified the settings and clicked on "OK" or "Apply", and the same thing occurred for v6.63.8-x86, although less often. v7 seems to be a bit more stable.
Let me know if I can help diagnosing these problems in any way.

2HD: from command line "ProgDVBNet.exe /EngineLog"

ccristal: 1. But of HID module. Check Settings->Options->Interface->RC Options->Only in foreground

2. Please send me details of crash dialog.

x64 is total same with x32. But use x64 drivers, x64 codecs,....

It was checked. I have now unchecked it and the Shift key seems to work, although sometimes the keyboard now misses a few keystrokes (I hit the keys, but nothing appears on the screen... but it only happens from time to time). I'll keep you posted...
Prog wrote: 2. Please send me details of crash dialog.
I will do, as soon as the problem re-occurs.
Prog wrote: x64 is total same with x32. But use x64 drivers, x64 codecs,....
And that can be exactly where the problem lies. Are you using int variables to hold pointers? I think that's the most common reason for 64bit applications' misbehaviours...

Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here

#761
I am not know reasons for "using int variables to hold pointers". ProgDVB ported to x64 in 2007, and now x64 more native and more simple for me. But lot of problem with modules. For example no plugins or visualization. x64 protection still not have release state,...

Hi.
I downgraded to 6.61.03 because here the parallel channel watching works in general. The menu item "Open channel in new window" is not always inactive like in newer ProgDVB versions.

BUT: If Time Shift is enabled, I get the error message "Error on buffer in memory", and the second channel does not play. It stays black.
In even older versions, the error message appeared, but the second channel played then!

Even if Time Shift does not allow two channeld to be cached at the same time, it would be nice, if the second channel is at least played.

If you have the timeshift buffer in memory try to set a smaller buffer (300MB). It should work.... at least for me it works with max 650MB. This for the SD channels for the HD ones I also have black preview but I think it comes from the video card (not sure yet).
