Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here
#512I'm not sure since I own a "Maximum AMBQ-24 monoblock / cityCom Duo LNB". I used to use the 22khz option and it worked fine, but with the new version of ProgDVB it does not work anymore. So I just use the 4-port DiSEqC 1.0 option instead which works fine, I only use the first 2 ports.Prog wrote:2 puch-maxi: Do you really like use 22khz? Becuase this type of diseq not compatible with universal LNB.
So its no big problem at all, just wondering

Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here
#513You don't have a 22kHz switch for position selecting, but a DiSEqC switch with two ports.puch-maxi wrote:I use an Azurewave SP400 DVB-S2 card together with a 2 port DiSEqC switch (Astra 19.2 & 23.5) and my operating system is Windows XP SP3.
Since version ProgDVB6.46.6Std upwards I experience difficulties using the 2-port DiSEqC option (22 Khz, switch 2 ports) I do not get a signal at all.
This means, it's being controlled by DiSEqC signals, not by 22kHz tone being switched on or off.
22kHz is being used for band switching only.
This for, it's mandatory here, to set for a DiSEqC 1.0 switch, the way you did now.
As that setting provides four LNBs to select between, just use the first / upper two ports, for your LNBs A and B. Ignore the other two.

#514Thanks for the explanation, but this Monoblock Quad LNB supports Toneburst also.
But for now I just use DiSEqC

Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here
#515Hi,
I have found a bug in volume control. I'm using newest Version, but it's also in older Versions.
I do the following steps:
1. minimize ProgDVB in taskbar and then open it again
2. Now adjust the volume with the mouse wheel
3. Switch to Fullscreen mode
Now the old volume is set. Sometimes its very annoying.
I hope you can understand me (I'm German) and fix the problem.

Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here
#516Correct.puch-maxi wrote:this Monoblock Quad LNB supports Toneburst also.
But ToneBurst is NOT the same as controlling by 22kHz on/off.
Allow me to explain, as short as possible:
22kHz switching means, if the 22kHz carrier is off, state low. If it's on, state high.
In Europe, in early times we used this, to switch from Astra 19.2°E to Eutelsat 13°E and back.
Then the day came, when we were in need of band switching, a the Ku satellite band (once more) was extended and by this exceeded the tuning range available.
For analogue users, this started with analogue high band channels on 13°E Eutelsat Hotbird.
But as people already would not want to live without Astra, and most did not (want to) use a second LNB cable or a rotor, Eutelsat ran into deep trouble.
This for, Eutelsat needed to introduce yet another control signal.
So they developed DiSEqC.
But as receiver manufacturers were not all willing to implement intelligent system control with their cheap analogue receivers, Eutelsat also developed another simple (and pretty limited) switching method, called ToneBurst. This allowed just one extra switch stage, a quite simple timing controlled one, controlled by a defined short burst of the 22kHz carrier, surrounded by two short moments of no carrier even if switching from one to another High Band transponder.
This was also falsely called "SimpleDiSEqC". Use of the "DiSEqC" name and logo was also allowed for ToneBurst devices, if those were fully compatible with DiSEqC control signal(s) 1.0 or above. But many of those were not...
Since ProgDVB was introduced for digital satellite (only), it uses 22kHz for band switching and as digital tuners must have an intelligent system control anyway, ProgDVB uses DiSEqC for position switching by default, and it does not have to be ToneBurst compatible.
The 22kHz switching option in ProgDVB (still) is meant to be used by American customers, who normally don't need band switching at all. Those would not use ToneBurst.

Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here
#518There is something we see that it is not fixed.
Scan over many of the satellite television and then jump them in the list are missing.
The bad thing is that when you scan one transponder finds them missing TV, but when I press the OK button still does not add them to display with the television.
These are Eurobird 9A - 9.0 ° E this problem I've noticed in other satellites.

#519Scan transponder is debug function. Not for real using.

#520Its strange, the old version 4.85.3 still works best for me,the plugins and everything, only is missing the problem with subtitles.
I cant understend why in new version the OSD channel list is not tranparent and you cannot move it left or right on the screen,to change the letters. Also the subtitles, you cannot move them up or down. Its freezing when im using remote with girder when i move up and down in the list, and is little bit slow in comparation with 4.85.3.
Greetings,
Keep up the good work

Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here
#522Hello, Prog. I like your software, but it really needs improvements. There are many bugs and things that needs to improve. I'll post the most important:
The scanner needs to improve, 'cos its very important feature on any Dvb software. It should scan any transponder and then to save it without a problem. There are many new transponders with many new channels and its not a good idea every customer to wait new version with transponder update.
Its very slow compared with other softwares. The zapping should be faster and more stable.
When i switch to fullscreen there are still tracks left from the menu down there and its all mashed up. The only fix is to remove OSD display on that moment and then switch to fullscreen.
The subtitles problem: Everything is on the right side and sometimes many letters are not displayed. I've already tried to set from the menu, but the problem remains. Many letters are missing from the subtitles. Really annoying.
Sometimes its crashing without any reasons, just like that. I know there are many versions, but please concentrate on these important things when you release new version.
I hope you read this and I hope I'll see some really important improvements in new versions. Have a good weekdays

Re: bug feedback - post newly found progdvb bugs here
#5231. I plan make optiomization of scanner but it is not important. 99% of timer you watch channel but not scan. Also impossible make scan transponder full function. Some channels request scan more one transponder.
2. More details about speed. Yes, ProgDVB use .net and little bit slow.
3. Please send me screen of problem with subtitles and fullscreen.
4. Crashes is very depended from plugins and codecs. It first try remove all plugins and start ProgDVB with /Debug key.
