Back to 4.85.1 and 5.09, short EPG working under XP SP2 TT2300S, but not with the last 4.85.2 (with or without Intel made update : in reality 4.85.1 not 4.85.2 as say on the web)
No problem with all long EPG when present.

The w9x update link shows 4.85.2.
The downloaded zip file is named ProgDVB4.85.1win9x.
The executable inside shows 4.852 again when used, both on the splash screen and under 'Help' --> 'About ProgDVB'.

So it's just a wrong name for the zip file, at least for the w9x update.

It is confirmed, since 4.85.2 and 5.09.1 that EPG actual + next isnt working with TT 2300 S on XP SP2. Back to 4.85.1 and 5.09 it is OK (but not scheduling option working for 5.09).
Tested also with fresh installation.
I am the only one having this problem ?
Hey Prog are you reading this ? I must use my Topfield for all programmed recording

I can't scan channels in prog 5.x with my technotrend card either... no channels are found.

Furthermore, i have upgraded to a p4 3.0 ghz and now i can't record radio channels with the 4.x progdvb anymore. Every mpa file is 0 byte.. i had this problem with my old p4 1.8 ghz comp as well, but it worked when i selected 'receive mpeg2 from skystar one' . However when i select this now, the radio stations don't play.. just the tv channels work.. So this means recording radio channels is impossible for me.... i have switched to altdvd after 3 years of prog use :( sigh..

Ill get alot of crashes in v5 here is a few:

1: When i scan transponders "0282.ini" Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A/2B/2D
progdvb crashes on me sometimes after a few seconds or a few minutes

2: When i click on "France 3" on Astra 19.2e progdvb crashes more details:

Name: France 3
Provider: CSAT
Network: ASTRA
Freq: 12012000Khz
Pol: Vertical
Sym: 27500
FEC: 3/4

I guess that this crash has to do with low signal strength
(ill remember when i had mine twinhan hard it crashed on
low signal strength)

I will add more in this message if i find any more "bugs"

Edit 20070807 15:07 CET:

Is it possible to edit out the Eurobird transponders on the
0282.ini and maybe then i can scan astra2 without crashes ?

Edit 20070807 17:04 CET:

I edited the 0282.ini and removed eurobird from it
and did some testing and found that these was causing
mine crashes:

12=10876,V,22000,56; Sky Digital
13=10891,H,22000,56; Sky Digital

Here mine edited file is if anyone have the same problems
with scanning "eurobird and astra2" transponders

http://www.hagis2k.se/progdvb/0282.ini

Edit 20070808 08:15 CET

It seems like sometimes progdvb doesnt want to "lock" on
an channel like Ocko TV on Astra first click does nothing
but an second click gets the channel to show up...

Edit: 20070811 15:27 CET

It seems like when you do an channel search and the signal lever is poor
it has an tendency do cause progdvb to crash and so with other channels
with low reception...

The TVN packet (TVN, TVN24, TVNTurbo ...) from "Cyfra+"provider (Hotbird) are not working in 2.86 ProgDVB version. This are coded programs. All other coded and FTA programs from this provider are working fine. There were no problems with TVN in th previous versions.

ps. Finally the selected sound device after starting ProgDVB is working corectly. No need anymore to select it again - thanks!!

Scan problem with 4.85x

Scan problem seems to be fixed with the last version 4.860 with DVBengine 2.0. This is with SS1.

Thanks :)

Z

... but unfortunately it is very unstable; freezes a lot with CPU up and down and memory also all over the chart.

Could be my installation... but I had to install twice before I could get it to work.

Still testing...

...and it crashes immediately when trying to play any recording (in HW mode, under Win2k).

Scanning seems to be OK again, on my Nexus.

The old problem of when you first start it, you get no picture but sound ok.
To correct the problem you have to go to option and without changing anything, click OK, and the picture comes back.

That was around for awhile on an older version; got corrected.

Also when it freezes, the memory goes from 12MB to over 90MB, and you have problems to recover from that.
