Video overlay to 3D Surface in VISTA

hardware mode of technotrend skystar 1 based cards uses video overlay, but in vista (aero) its no more supported :cry: .
Isnt there a way to reroute the video feed from the card to Direct3D surface (full hardware compositing) instead of the normal video overlay (hardware overlays).
with software decoding my cpu jumps from 0-3 percent to 40-60 percent use :shock:
winrar and other apps get so slow :cry:

Plz we technotrend Skysta1, nexus-s, (maybe) dec3000 and other videooverlay cards BEG for your help :oops: :cry:

PROGDVB is THE DVB PROG :P :D
VISTA has to comply to Its supremacy . :twisted:

If you have an AGP graphic card like me you will need 2 drivers (to get the best image quality)
(this is for either you have nexus-s like me or technotrend)

1st driver needed the tehnotrend driver for vista 32bit
2nd driver the hauppauge driver version 2.18(dvb218c or use technotrend driver 2.18){{this if you dont have pciexpress GFCard}}

installing the techotrend-vista directly wont work (they are not hauppauge)
you go then in control panel (choose classic view if you are lost) device manager then select your unrecognized dvbcard, update drivers manually and select the folder where you EXTRACTED the vista driver.
if it tries to install fast-something(usually the 2nd driver) deny it(its the lan driver which hangs vista) {{{to deny you need the control something of vista running"the thing that nag you whenever you double click on a program to ask for your permission"}}}

if you have pciexpress your picture must work flawlessly
but for agp:

extract the dvb218 drivers and update your graphic card driver manually with them (same as before deny the 2nd pilot-fastinstall to work and u get the usual high quality pic for you discovery channels.
PS: in case u got problems getting the drivers pm me your email and ill try to send u both. {my connection is very slow (adsl 64) so just if you really got stucked :wink: :D )

Thanks. it works ok (!?~).
(after new install of vista i notice that it does need to mneke the trick with the old driver, the 219c without network works ok, just the original vista driver). but i can't see anything in prog screen (i've got PCie). And i Wonder can i Disable Prog Video Screen ( i Just want to work Video out "composite"). Then When i Close Prog All Aero get a little srange doesn't work ok (all pictrures and graphics are sucks and i need to reboot to fix them). The ather problem is that after a 5-10 min running Prog i've got BSOD.

I Notice that TechnoTrend has Takeoff Driver For Vista 32, from the download section. (?)
Does anyone know why?

How Can I Meke ProgDVB not have Video Screen?
Menu : File->Timeshift Buffer status-> and check ´disable mpeg2 decoder for low cpu use´

or start progdvb with command line parameter = /DisableMpeg2Decoder
