I understand that progtv does not support ac3 audio but is there a way around this? Does the option to make spdif output as pcm do anything?I have a few channels from my iptv service that are ac3 audio and get no sound. I tried the external player option with mx player and not work. I tried turning off progdvb engine and not work. Lastly tried spdif to pcm and still not work. The .ts file plays fine in mx player and perfectplayer but i really like progtv and want to use it. Any other suggestions?

AC3 problem for all software (by legal reason). External player (for example AC3 version of MX player) must be solution.

I installed the ac3 codec to mx player and in progtv options set external player to mx player for ac3 channels. Doesn't seem to do anything like progtv is not passing it off to the external player

Try disable using Engine for external player and select external player in options.

I did as you suggested and still no sound. The file plays fine in mx player alone. It seems like progtv is ignoring the option to send to external player.

Do you select external for ac3? Check in menu of channel. What mode selected in playback?
