Hey.
I have a SS2 card, with 4.4.0 drivers and I'm using ProgDVB4.86.
The problem is, I have no picture, nor sound with hdtv channels.
When I switch to one, the program just starts idleing. I have
installed Elecard AVC plugin for progdvb and I also have CoreAVC.
I have tried choosing decoders from the options, doesn't work with
any of them.

Do you have good level and quality there?
EPG resp. 'what's on' showing up, if available?
TXT working (if available there)?
Channel details (example), like bird, transponder, A and V IDs ?
As always, please provide all possibly relevant details you can get...

Do you have good level and quality there? DVB-C always 100%
EPG resp. 'what's on' showing up, if available? YES, normal data
TXT working (if available there)? Not available
Channel details (example), like bird, transponder, A and V IDs ?
DVB-C Cablestar2, channel details as with DVBviewer. Only that one program should have QAM4, but progDVB has QAM64 but there is no QAM4 to change to. Frequency=666000 Simbolrate= 4576
As always, please provide all possibly relevant details you can get...
I have PowerDVD 7.3 installed and graph filters selected for it. Strange is, that when i go to properties there is no WIDTH, HIGHT, MODE and FILTERS. I am trying to force HD channels to S2 mode to see if any difference, but no success. How can i debug why no filters loaded?

QAM4, are you really sure?
Talking digital, we have to be precise...
If getting Now/Next, you are tuned.
Means, QAM, frequency and data rate are ok, tuner is locked.
So your problem must be codec / graph / renderer related, or a decrypting issue we would not talk about here.
There is no S2 mode on cable, S stands for satellite.
HD may use a more complex modulation, like QAM 128 or even 256, and it may be compressed in h.264 / MPEG4 instead of MPEG2.
AFAIK, there's no way to debug filters (from ProgDVB), that aren't loaded (in it). And generally, properties access from third party software may be limited by intention...
Perhaps you have to do the relevant settings from it's host application, or even from system control, if available there.
However, that's all I can help on this, as I don't have digital cable over here.

(writing error correction)Symbol rate= 6875
I have rechecked QAM4 it seems as a glitch from DVBViewer i have set to QAM64 and it works also.
My programs are all H.264, i assumed that all HD channels are H.264 that fore i didn't mention it.
So I have H.264 codec problems with progDVB

does that mean, the standard edition of progdvb does not support H.264 in any way ?
i was trying to get a 720p AVC/H.264 with DVB-S(1) modulation channel to run on my Hauppauge Nexus and the standard edition. (HD Channels in Mpeg2 were working).
If so, you should really mention this fact, because there are some misleading feature descriptions and the avaible options in the program suggest a support of H.264. (including the elecard plugin).
this would leave without option, because there are no other progs that support my old card ...sad....

The Nexus still is supported by several applications beneath ProgDVB, like HispaDVB, DVBsVCR2, WTVP (commercial...), Linux VDR, and even the original application of TechnoTrend...
AltDVB 2.2 not supporting SS1 cards anymore is a pity, of course...
As a matter of fact, I don't really understand, why there's trouble using h.264 in normal ProgDVB, nor would I have any chance, to find out on my own over here, sorry
What exactly happens if you (try to) buld a custom graph?
The renderer might matter. There are several of those, that are not made by Prog, and by that should not include limitations, including even 'by codec'...
