ProgDVB crashes every time I open it. I have tried this on two different computers. No luck. After resetting it does the same thing. Also every time I hit the minimize button the screen disappears never to be found. I have to kill the program using crtl+alt+ delete. any ideas? These are both Windows 10 machines.

Do you have crash after clean installation? Try not select DVB tuner in installation time. Same crash?

I changed the video drivers to LAV codecs per progdvb.com and that fixed it.

However, I still have a couple of other issues. ProgDVB will disappear when I hit minimize in the upper right-hand corner of the screen/program. I can hear it running in the background but when I use alt+tab it is not there. There is no way to maximize the program as it is gone. Any ideas?

Also, the program is running in 32bit instead of 64 bit.

You can disable "icon in trey" in Options->Interface for standard minimization.
