I install allways new.
I tested it again for you. Result:
Under 4.88.2: level at 16 %, Quality: 0, 0 Channels after Scan
Under 5.12.2: Level at 31 %, Quality: 0, 0 channels after Scan.
I don't tested 4.88.2 Standard or 5.12.2 Standard, only 4.88.1 Standard and 5.12.2 Standard.
Testcase:
Satalite: Astra 1f/1g/1h (0192)
System: Windows XP Prof. Service Pack 2
Satcard: Skystar 2. Driver: 4.4.1
I can test it under Windows 2003 Server too, if you want.

Make sure, to not have made any specific settings on the pro versions, without telling Prog.
Test again with Std version in another folder.
Zero Q normally is an indice for no reception. Having some level at the same time may just be result of electrical background noise, possibly depending on data rate settings, driver, even application start timings.
Q of 62% and L of 25% aren't much, perhaps the dish is aligned quite badly.
[irony on]
Being very close to lower limits may cause any digital system to go unstable and try to refer to moon phases, female style...
[irony off]

After installing 4.88.2 Std in an extra folder it's the same result like professional version.
With ProgDVB 4.84.2 Std its work fine with 65 % .
With ProgDVB 4.88 Std its work fine with 63 %.
With ProgDVB 5.12 Prof its work fine with 63 %.
With ProgDVB 5.88.1 its not working.
With ProgDVB 5.88.2 its not working.
Allways on his on folder and cleaning bevor installing.
Do you need any logfiles or can i switch a debug parameter on?
Maybe i am the only one, so i wait for the next version and i work with the older version.

Of course not, as they don't exist...
Please be absolutely precise, as we're talking computer logics here.

And what if MKH meant 5.12.1 and 5.12.2 instead?
My magic crystal ball is out for polishing.
And therefore there's nothing to apologize for.

Hallo
You are right. Its my fault.
It was a copy und paste error.
Here my corrected answer:
With ProgDVB 4.84.2 Std work fine with 65 % .
With ProgDVB 4.88 Std work fine with 63 %.
With ProgDVB 5.12 Prof work fine with 63 %.
With ProgDVB 4.88.1 (Std / Prof) not working.
With ProgDVB 4.88.2 (Std / Prof) not working.
With ProgDVB 5.12.1 (Std / Prof) not working.
With ProgDVB 5.12.2 (Std / Prof) not working.

@MKH,
it same problem to me i install ProgDVB 5.12.01 in different folder and retained my working version of ProgDVB. In my old version quality and level of signal is ok , but in ProgDVB 5.12.01 Level is 31% and Quality is 0%. I doubt that this is not a hardware related problem like improper dish alignment. Maybe we need some patches or some proper configuration to make it work. Anyway by this time i dont have any idea how to solve it, i will wait for the advice of our expert like Juergen and Prog.

Well, this surely is not a very easy issue.
Not a general error of the latest versions, as the STD and W9x are working fine here.
@ MKH
How are your level readings, if LNB cable is out? (Don't hotplug!)
But as other versions are running (better) at your systems, there must also be something related with the latest versions.
But where's the gun and where the trigger?
Sorry lads, this exceeds my capabilities.
Hope Prog can help you.

Hello
Prog has written that there is a bug in SkyStar2.Device.
With SkyStar2.Device modul from an older version like 5.12 for 5.12.2 or 4.88 for 4.88.2 its works fine.
thanks
I think we can close the threads.
