Hello!
I have a problem with those two mentioned in the subject...I have a 4-ports diseqc switch, but for some reason i can't switch between LNB's...
Each LNB is on the correct port...To be honest i tried every LNB on every port...But i still keep receiving signal from port A only...
I'm above average pc user, but about digital tv and receiving i have no clue what so ever=))
I read something about BDA drivers compabilities and that diseqc switches are not supported by BDA devices, but i'm not sure if the information is correct...
BTW, the OS is XP MCE 2005
Please can you point me in right direction?
Is it my card?Is it the driver(i used both supplied with the card driver and the latest one)?Is it the progDVB version(personally i don't think so, i've used like 4 different versions...Both 4.x and 5.x)..
I should point that i can't switch between ports at all meaning when i scan satellites on ports different then port A i get no signal at all...

Another strange thing is that on some older 4.x versions with older transponder .ini files i seem to receive some channels on satellites(no signal or channels with up to date files tho), but i can't switch to them either...I guess it's just some sort of bug...

And diseqc switch works just fine with tuner, so it's not that either...

Update 1: Technical specifications of the card say that DiseqC 1.0 is supported, so i'm guessing normally 4-port switch should work fine=/

The MS Broadcast Driver Architecture does NOT include DiSEqC.

The original application is supposed to work with DiSEqC, as it would know some hardware specific proprietary tricks, to bypass the BDA driver for DiSEqC controls.

Meanwhile ProgDVB also knows some of that tricks, for a few devices, but obviously not (yet) for yours.

I'm convinced, Prog is working on a solution.

DiSEqC support for BDA is a matter of money right now, as officially one would have to pay the hardware manufacturer for some assistance, if they like to...
That's why some commercial software may (but not must) work.
But we don't discuss 3rd party stuff here.

Anyway I'll try to search for workaround ..My whole htpc system was built with progDVB in mind(for a couple of reasons) so i desperately need to find a way)))

If you want to play around a little, set up the original application completely.
Use it to access a position from there, close it, try ProgDVB on that position.

Thanks to a guy on russian support forum, the problem was solved.
I thought i'd post solution in here for everyone else.
The LNB ports for diseqc beside the first one are not 2,3 and 4, but 6,7 and 8...
