ProgDVB 4.x and Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350?

I have a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350 and i want to use it with ProgDVB!
But I can´t find it in the device list?! :shock:

I have installed the actual driver but I can´t choose it in the list.
Whats the matter? :roll:

This is an analogue tuner, but ProgDVB, as it's name tells, only supports DVB tuners.
DVB = Digital Video Broadcast

For digital cable (if available from your place), you would need a DVB-C device. But of course, even if available, that service may be crypted, so just available by use of subscriber card and suitable CAM.
Same goes for DVB-S and DVB-T, roughly depending on your location.
A DVB device for such would also need to have a CI port.

This is also valid for all other DVB applications.

For possibly plugin related issues, or to meet other users, that may share your local situation, look at dvbn.happysat.org (register to read / possibly not everything over there is strictly legal...).

So, if not a grown up, ask for parental advice before going there.
