CAM interface question (compro s-350 card and Hauppage CAM)

Im thinking of adding support for pay channels i thinking of
buing an Hauppauge WinTV Smart CI USB reader could this work
or do i need to buy the WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2 just to be able to
use the usb card reader properly ?
