Mute great noise

When i click the mute button it do a great noise when i'm playing music with mplayer classic.

You must disconnect audio cable or mute in analog in.

Please open Windows Audio Mixer and find out, which channel(s) this comes from.
You may as well need a driver update for your sound card, or some sound effects switched off there, like a possible 3D enhancer or similar.
