because there's a lot of ProgDvb releases . I think it's a good idea to make it possible update old version without the need of uninstall (old)/install (new).

maybe an installer just include new update and automatically copy new basic files to old one be a good thing .

I'm just suggest , I don't know if it's possible , and if is there an effective way to update old files , please someone point to it .

Thanx Prog for ur effort :D

Make a full back up of ProgDVB, for just in case....

Install to a different folder, without selecting a device and without installing a codec (again).
Copy over all the files except of the ProgDVB.ini

You don't have to uninstall older versions,if using version specific folders.
Just nasty Windows would only save ununstall data for the last install location.
But as ProgDVB itself does not really mess up your registry, you may simply remove a full ProgDVB folder system without any trouble, except, of course, for hand made custom links not getting removed. And better don't let the recordings be made to inside of the folder structure...
