Normally some more details should be available from that error box, pointing to some control or component.
BTW, perhaps try to not accept that error box but close ProgDVB normally instead.

Hi
I´m a newbie with the same problem: progdvb crashes with the error messages from the other guy.
I got a starkey usb box from a friend, installed it properly and progdvb (different versions, like 4.85) and every time i try a channelsearch on astra progdbd crashes, mostly at transponder 23...
My compi runs on xp pro with sp3.
Some any idea??

Please let us know the frequency and polarisation of that transponder.
Lists and by this entry numbers may vary.

Hi juergen
Extremly strange...
After the x-th scannig, and changing x settings of progdvb and the starkey box the search goes thru.. but found no german programs
ok, no problem->try again and: crash. Again on 23..
I made a screenshot of the error and progdvb and now I have to look for upload.

So it's 11817 V, that crashes your ProgDVB?
This makes me remember one issue I had years ago, the station(s) named "I>TELE" (or similar) there on. Gave me some severe trouble those days, as there's a symbol ">" inside, that is not allowed in file or folder names, for example.
May well be, this is also valid for some temporary files, or even some RAM content, possibly also depending on drivers or plugins.
Scan a few transpopnders manually, to get a working channel database.
Save it.
Then scan that 11817 V transponder manually and see what happens, report.
Well, that transponder is not really important for most Germans. So perhaps edit it's properties to polarisation H instead, or remove it from the database completely, to avoid trying to tune it.
Or find some suitable 3rd party channel list and rescan that one.
*strike*

Hi juergen
The manuell transponder-search works, I found a lot of channels. A little problem is transponder 107 (12.54475-SAT1, prosieben..): the manuel search shows the programs, but after clicking ok I don´t find them in the left window of progdvb

there are only three new groups: Astra1, Betadigital and (not defined) but not the programs of SAT1-group.
Can you help me again?

Very strange.
That transponder does not give any trouble over here.
And of course you should find a provider "ProSiebenSat.1" there on.
And no other.
Perhaps try to identify one or two of the signals of the other providers and post full details of those, to give us a chance to possibly get closer to the source of that trouble.

I 've solved (my) problem.
I' m using the ffdshow codec.
Something has changed the configuration of the ffdshow video decoder.
The MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG in AVI and other MPEG decoder was set to disable.
I use these settings:
MPEG1 - libavccodec
MPEG2 - libmpeg2
MPEG in AVI - libavccodec
other MPEG - libavccodec
=> Now it works!
