How to configure 8 port diseq

Dear All,

Please help me configuring 8 port diseqc in Progdvb.
I have a ttbudget s1401 card with bda driver under Win 7.
It was recognized by Progdvb as "Techno Trend BDA/DVB-s Tuner" in "Settings->Device list".

When I tried adding a custom switch in "Settings->DeSEqC and Providers" there are the following options:
- Simple (2 ports)
- 22khz switch (2 ports)
- DiseqC 1.0 (4 ports)
- Deseqc 1.1 (16 ports)

I haven't found the way to configure 8 ports. Trying to use 16 port failed - only the first sattelite works then...

I was using Progdvb 6.32.04

Is there a way to configure 8-port diseq (Uncommitted)?

Dear Prog, thanks for answering.
Unfortunately it's not the same.
When configuring 16-ports switch over 8-port diseq, I can't switch between sattelites.
In other words, switching to "2/16" or "3/16" does not switch to "2/8" or "3/8" correctly - the sattelite does not change at all, it remains the same all the time.
I would appreciate if anyone could point me to any patch, plugin or setting to work correctly with 8 port diseq. I love progdvb interface and don't want to change it to mytheatre or other soft that is reported to work correctly with 8 ports.
Thanks in advance!

Please read the manual for your 8 port switch carefully.
What switching method(s) does it support, exactly?

For example, it might technically include an uncommitted 2 port switch, followed by two committed 4 port stages, or a 4 port uncommitted followed by four committed 2 port stages, or even all stages being uncommitted. Or it may behave like a DiSEqC 1.2 or 1.3 positioner.
Each case would be controlled in a different way.
Some switches would also be able to use more than one way of controls.

Dear Juergen, thanks for your answer. I don't have a manual, but rather have another standalone tuner that switches my sattelites correctly. Here are the settings from it:
- 0/12v off
- LNBP on
- LNB Type: Universal
- LNB Freq: 10600/9750
- 22KHz: Auto
- DiSEqC: 1.1
- Port: None
- UnCommitted: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 (for 7 sattelites accordingly)

I have also found a module for Progdvb (DISEqC12.module) that was about to fix progdvb working with diseqc 1.1, but wasn't able to make it appear in Progdvb somehow. :(

The DiSEqC module you've mentioned is pretty old, it was made for almost ancient versions of ProgDVB.

However, mentioning DiSEqC 1.1:
As Prog told, this allows up to 16 (=4x4) LNBs to select from.
Miust be compatible with your switch, even though we don't yet know the inner organisation of it, 4x2 or 2x4.
Means, we don't know, which of the theoretically 16 ports would be available for you.
Perhaps you can try to set your receiver for a 16 ports switch and find out, which are used and which not.

Anyway, if you're always getting the same position with ProgDVB, it's possible, DiSEqC switching is not working at all there with.
This may be related with wrong device option settings, as BDA won't natively support DiSEqC.

If your device supported DiSEqC 1.1, normally yes.
See the entry for your tuner in device list.
Click at it, read the "support" box then.
