No dvb-c channels found

Hello,
I installed version 6.45.4 Pro. All seems to work fine but when I do a channel search the search window appears for a second and then the scanning report is there: empty windows! It seems that no scan was done at all.
I tried 6.45.3, the same.
Version 6.32.6 works fine. (I do not have versions between 6.32.6 and 6.45.3 to test).
I tried also a blind search (410-500 MHz, step 8 MHz, symbol rate 6875, 64-128-265 QAM) which works fine in 6.32.6 but not in 6.45.4.
I use 2 Satelco Easywatch PCI cards with BDA driver and a fresh installation of Windows XP SP3.
I am logged in as administrator.
VistaTV (came with the card) works fine.
Edit: I just tried a transponder scan (410000,6875,64). It works fine in 6.32.6 and finds some channels, but in 6.45.4 there is no Level and no Quality!
Many thanks,
Gottfried

What you mean "works fine"? Can you watch TV?
ps: x64? What mode in Settings->Device options?

I mean that channels are found and I can watch TV. It is a new PC so I installed both versions completely new.
It is 32 bit windows XP Prof SP3
Settings / devive options:
Additional API (empty)
How many time ... 2
Delay ... 200
Not start ... (unchecked)
Many thanks,
Gottfried

Try select Microsoft in this dialog. And check this settings on old version.

Do you mean "Microsoft compliant BDA driver"?
I selected it and there is no difference in 6.45.
In 6.32 I selected it and got no picture and no sound. I tried to search channels. There was no Level and no Quality, but after searching I got a list of found channels!
Many thanks,
Gottfried

I tried the BDA driver of KNC1 (the Satelco should be a clone of it) and also "KNC" in device options. But no success.

Is there anything I can test to help you solve the problem?

Perhaps temporarily remove one of the tuners and try again.
And maybe you should write down some transponder details from the 6.32.6 version, or from VistaTV, to allow you scanning those manually.
Obviously more details required, to get closer to the source of your problems...

I have removed one card, but still no channels are found.
The details are 410-6875-64. If I do a "blind search" or "scan transponder" in 6.45.4 no channels are found, but 6.32.6 finds channels.
One difference is that there is no "Level" and "Quality" in 6.45.4.

Maybe I have found something important.
Suddenly (I did not change anything) "scan transponder" showed Quality and Level and found channels.
I restarted the program and all was gone.
I did many other tries until it worked again. Then I found out that the channels I found were always the same, no matter which frequency, symbol rate and modulation I selected!!!
So I think that these values are not correctly set.
I tried now some more. I looked at the properties of the found channels. I have picture and sound. But it shows me that it is symbol rate 6900, but I definitely have 6875.
There is no influence if I change frequency, symbol rate or modulation in channel properties.
If I then do a channel search or blind search all previously found channels are shown as "lost channels".

I just restarted the program. The channels are still in the channel list but if I click on it there is nothing. "Level" and "Quality" are now 0.

Gottfried

Hi, I tried ProgDVB on another PC with a TechnoTend C-2300 card. No channels were found (good level, but no quality). I had to change "sprectral inversion", then it worked (auto, off: bad; by polarization, on: good).
On the other PC with BDA driver I do not have this option.
Maybe this helps.
My opinion (I am a programmer, but not TV): The call you send to the TV card does not set frequency, modulation and symbol rate correctly.
Best Regards,
Gottfried
