I just bought a Geniatech Digistar DVB-S PCI (windows XP/Vista compatible)
My OS is Windows Vista 64

The remote control doesn't work because the original Geniatech software is Windows XP compatible
I setup as Windows XP compatible and it's running 90% ok... seems that I haven't more "Blue Screen Of Death"

But the keys:
1 2 3
4 5 6
6 7 8
9

Doesn't work
Working Ch+, Ch-, EPG, blah blah blah... also 0 (zero) but not the

1 2 3
4 5 6
6 7 8
9

then I can't change channels without using ch+ or ch- :(

If can someone help me with how to setup the original Geniatech Remote control software ("called remote.exe") I 'll be very gald

Other way is setup the winlirc-0.8.7 and maybe also Girder
but I don't know how to setup this programs

My PCI is this one:

And seems that the IR Remote Control isn't in Com1
When I try setup Winlirc I don't know witch "Input Plugin" select

I just need to found a solution... any king of solution is welcome
Setup 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 keys of remote.exe
PS. the original Geniatech Remote control software is launched by Remote.exe and seems that it doesn't use Controls.ini (the progDVB RC configurations)

Or setup winlirc with ginger

Waiting for help and thanks :)

Do you have keys in lean dialog in ProgDVB?

AND

Seems that to learn I'll need to setup a Remote Control Module (and data will be saved in Controls.ini ... Isn't it ?

If I understand... to use "winLirc" Remote Control Module I'll need setup first the winLirc and copy some files to RemoteControl folder.... but I can't understand how to config the winlirc

The best is, off course use remote.exe by Geniatech but seems obsolete and there aren't tutorials about this program... than probably I'll need to use winLirc :( ... but ok :)

The winLirc tutorials seem make to Electronic technicians ...

I just want so setup my Remote control :(

Prog meant, what happens, if you select Universal HID Remote control, with or without that extra software, and try to learn in the number keys to ProgDVB.

(Win)LIRC would in fact require an extra IR receiver, connected to a COM port instead of the tuner.
