Missing DiSEqC-options in TT Hard mode in ProgDVB 6.6.3.5

Since ProgDVB 6.6.3.1 there is a mistake in DiSEqC-options dialog.
There is no possibility to configure LNB and/or switch.
In TT Soft mode it is possible to choice the DiSEqC options like LNB or switch.
Please have a look at the attachments, taken with 63.5 standard version.
Many Thanks and regards

Hard mode has been disabled in the latest versions (newer than 6.63.x). Only Soft mode will be available from now on for SS1.

Thanks seba!
It's a pity. But why is hardware mode deactivated? Is this a temporally solution or for ever?
The hardware mode is a very nice feature of the DVB-Card (TT), there is no cpu usage. The work will do the mpeg-chip of the DVB-Card

My guess is that the deactivation will be forever but this only the owner of the program can confirm.
You can have almost no CPU usage by using a codec that supports DXVA (decode MPEG2 by graphic card). Of course your graphic card must have this feature.
Codecs that cam be used for this: Cyberlink, Arcsoft, or Intervideo (this one is a bit old).

Thank You, seba.
I in the moment I will use the "old"-version of ProgDVB (66.1.3) with hardware decoder support.
I know, hardware decoding is a rare feature today.
My next card maybe:
TT-premium S2-6400 Twin HD
Twin tuner DVB-S/-S2 Receiver for PCIe slot

I know very well the SS1 card. For 10 years I have used one... this until 2 months ago.
My guess is that the TT 6400 will be quite rare especially at the current price, although is out of stock as soon as is received. Lets see what happens during the next months.
@Prog: Do you plan to support TT 6400?

They have been in deep trouble some time ago, but they are back as part of CityCom GmbH now.
You can find TT at
http://www.tt-pc.com (or .de for the Germans)
An SDK for their BDA devices is available, too:
http://www.tt-pc.com/2959/PC_Products.html
However, there are no downloads for the TT-premium® S2-6400 Twin HD yet, except of a short data sheet.

I will to observe the situation around this new DVB-card in next days and weeks.
Availability
Price
User Feedbacks
Downloads (driver, tools etc.). In the moment there is no download, except a datasheet.
The question is: Is the product really on the market available?
The old Technotrend Company is not present on the market since years.
I guess, CityCom is only a user of the trade mark or trade name. Perhaps, they use some rests of the old company, like manpower, engineering and product philosophy.
Information here:
http://www.tt-pc.com/2756/IMPRESS.html
CityCom GmbH
Am Kroit 25/27
D- 83123 Amerang / Germany
The owner of the KATHREIN-Werke KG, Prof. Dr. Anton Kathrein is listed as
"Management Board"
http://www.kathrein.de/en/company/impressum/index.htm
Kathrein is not a small player!
The problem of the old Technotrend DVB premium cards (premium means an mpeg-decoder chip on board!) was the software to use it, not the hardware.
This is the reason for me to use ProgDVB.
It will be a very clever marketing idea , if CityCom will send a sample to Prog!

@Prog
Is there no way to support the hardware mode in Engine5 later?

Most problem in Nexus/premium card. That device too old. It is really not easy install it on modern system.

There is one really big problem, no 64 bit drivers.
These days, hardware mode should not be necessary for SD MPEG2 decoding.
Though, the hardware TV out may still be nice to have.
However, as the SkyStar1 / Nexus can't tune to DVB-S2, it's future is limited.
Just look how many are going really cheap at ebay...
As a result of all such thoughts, I've gone for a cheap DVB-S2 PVR ready HDTV receiver, some time ago.
Eats no more than 11 Watts if active, plus a few more if USB2 hard disk in use for very long recordings. For occasional recordings, I'm using my USB sticks normally. No noise, no heat, no interfering with other tasks, very low energy costs.
Compare this to a computer...
Anyway, I will update my computers in near future, by this also allowing HD there on. But this will then be reduced for testing and experimenting, not for daily use.

These days the output of the graphic card offers far better results then the TV out of the SS1 The graphic card offers video processing (hardware) features that are not otherwise available. This is one of the reasons I retired my SS1.

Depends.
If you are in need of a really good CVBS (or even RGB) signal, there's still no better one than from a (suitable) SS1.
And many really modern graphics don't even provide CVBS anymore. Older ones often gave poor quality.
This for, I will keep one of my older machines alive, holding the Nexus and my FAST DV now AV, for occasional use.
For both, there are no 64 bit drivers.
BTW, for video digitizing and editing control, I still have a nice CRT strictly analogue video monitor aside, as there's no better way, to check for possible interlace issues.
So, instead of allowing a collection of unknown devices on my coming up new main computer, and dual boot for 64 and 32 bit, there will be a P4 'vintage' machine for all the old stuff.
Same way as I did it for my good old FAST AVMaster and Win98SE (VXD drivers only) before.

Hello Prog,
oh, this is difficult for me. In the moment I use XP.
I will make a test-installation with windows 7. This will take some time. Tomorrow evening??
If you won't to wait, I will try to fix this like an eunuch (or castrato):
Here you can find the really last driver:
The Homepage of the Technotrend trade mark owner CityCom GmbH:
http://www.tt-pc.com/2959/PC_Products.html
under
TT-premium® S-2300
(This is the last Technotrend name for this card)
Do not use the third option, the so called "KS" release for PCIe-Systems!
Choose first option!
driver TT-premium Version 1.7.0.6 (21.04.2009)
(Windows XP/Vista/WIN7 32-bit)
WDM TV - card drivers without virtual network adapter
(Take "WDM" not verbal!)
here the direct driver link:
http://www.tt-downloads.de/Update/treib ... .7.0.6.zip
The driver contains only the needed three files:
saa7146n.cat 30.04.2010
Saa7146n.inf 30.04.2010
Saa7146n.sys 06.09.2004
For windows XP is only the usage of these three files necessary ( windows will ask for a driver) and your program PrgDVB Prog!!
I hope (!) this will work for Windows Seven to. Within 24 ours I try to make a test-installation.
One point also:
The Technotrend card has no chip with Firmware. Therefore is in the old Technotrend Program a folder "boot" with the firmware. In your ProgDVB also
C:\Pro…\ProgDVB\Modules\boot
I use newer firmware-files in the boot folder as you in the moment
Dpram 28.02.2005
Root 28.02.2005
Boot_up.axf 06.06.2001
(Source: TT software and driver package rel. 2.19h 24.04.2007)
Regards
Carlos
