Dear All,

is there a possibility to get the Hauppauge TV-HVR 1100 DVB-T card working on a Wion 7 (32 Bit) system with ProgDVB versions newer than 6.50.
If I install a newer version there is always an error massage and ProgDVB window closes. After this a process ProgDvbNet.exe is still activ an could not be closed manually.

It would be great if an expert has a straight tip.

ps: Try install to new directory. Do you have crash before select channels?

I installed ProgDVB in a new directory.
After starting I had to activate the (Options -> TV Source -> {BDA} Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 713x BDA DVBT Tuner) the first in the list.
After clicking on OK a Windows message pops up (not a message from ProDVB) that there is a foult during running ProgDVB with two options: debugging or closing program.

Please try same with 6.70.6 (in last prerelease)

Sorry, nothing has changed with the new version.
ProgDVB starts, the current chanel plays an the windows message pops up. If you try to chane the chanel or somethings else ProgDVB feezes.... All youn can do ist to click on debug oder exit in the windows message window.

Exact same Situation with Hauppauge WinTV HVR-4400 (Model 121xxx, Hybrid DVB-T/S2, 888, IR)
ProgDVB crashes if I click to activate BDA Device. Only Debug or Closing is possible.

Last working Version is 6.60.07

My current System:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Hauppauge WinTV HVR-4400 (Model 121xxx, Hybrid DVB-T/S2, 888, IR)
ProgDVB 32bit 6.60.07

I have to correct myself.
This only happens while activating the DVB-T Device. After i deleted the irremote.dll, the device started.
But with Versions > 6.60.07 my DVB-S2 Device is not working. (Device not started Error)

With DLL
1. Try to activate Device for DVB-S2
Result: Device not started! Error

2. Try to activate Device for DVB-T
Result: ProgDVB crashes (Windows known "Close Program" or "Debug" Options available)

Without DLL (deleted):
1. Try to activate Device for DVB-S2
Result: Device not started! Error

2. Try to activate Device for DVB-T
Result: Device started correct



It seems removing the DLL only resolves the ProgDVB Crash Problem while activating the DVB-T Device. But since Version above 6.60.07 I'm not able to activate the DVB-S2 Device. If I deinstall current Version and install the 6.60.07 I can activate the DVB-S2 Device (also the DVB-T Device) and both at same time.

Check "Not use tuner at once" in Settings->Device options. I have Huappuage 4000 and not support both tuners aslo.

Ok, this works now!

But for other users with this Card it could be difficult.
After a normal installation, the user can't start any device.
This is because if no Device is started the Options Menu is not available!
After this normal installation, the user cannot start the DVB-S2 Device to select this Option and activating the DVB-T Device will result into a ProgDVB crash while the DLL still exists.

Can you make the Option available also outside the Device Options Menu? (maybe an Entry in ProgDVB's other Options)
And why is the irremote.dll neccessary?

1. In Settings->TV Sources.
2. this dll for remote control.

The Option "Not start more one device at once" is only available in the "Properties" Dialog of a activated Device. The "Properties" Button is only availabe if the Device is activated

But after normal Installation, there is no change to activate any Device to reach the "Properties" Dialog
I will explain a little bit the main Problem:

Situation: Fresh Windows Installation without ProgDVB
1. Install ProgDVB
2. Start ProgDVB
3. Activating DVB-S2 Device -> Device not started Error
Result: No Properties Button is available to set the Option "Not start more one device at once"
4. Activating DVB-T Device -> ProgDVB crashes
Result: No Properties Button is available to set the Option "Not start more one device at once"

Workaround: Delete the irremote.dll to get the DVB-T Device activated and set then this Option

Summary result:
Users will never be able to set the Option because they cannot start any Device to reach the Option!
The Workaround is to delete the irremote.dll to activate the DVB-T Device. But should normal Users know this Workaround???

I think if you make this Option outside the Device Properties Dialog available or activate this option by default will help many users

Thanks. Yes, this is problem.

Try to replace the directory (Modules) in Progdvb Directory with an older one.
It worked for me.
However the final release of Progdvb ProgDVB 6.72.2 works fine.
