progdvb.com

Ok, so i've just installed the trial of progdvb and generated a 7 day key. Basically I'd like to run progdvb with ffdshow as the decoder for mpeg2 dvb-t stream. But, whenever I select the codec in the settings, it never uses ffdshow. When looking at the Directshow filter properties, I get it listed as Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder. I had gabest, elecard & arcsoft decoders registered but have since unregistered them and it still defaults to the Microsoft codec even tho it's selected in the preferences as ffdshow.
I'm running the x86 version of progdvb, with x86 & x64 version of ffdshow. It's running under a win7 x64 install.

What gives? I need progdvb to use ffdshow filters, it cannot use anything else (as I'm trying to use it with smooth video project)..

Need enable ffdshow filter for use with MPEG2 stream. For example:C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe "C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\ffdshow\ffdshow.ax",configure

You're a legend, Sultan.. That fixed it.. I can't believe i missed that setting either.. anyway, progdvb + smooth video project looks amazing couldn't be happier.. time to buy a licence..

I run

That version of ProgDVB you use? x32 or x64?
Have you checked - this setting is saved, going for the second time?

I use ProgDVB 64bit.

Yes, settings I made are saved, checked on second ffdshow configure.

I also tried to install Shark007 codecs for Win8 (removed k-lite).

In Shark007 list enable / disable codecs:

"Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder" was disabled and marked as red, because file C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msmpeg2vdec.dll.bak had *.BAK extension.

I changed it to msmpeg2vdec.dll. Well it enabled "Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder", but still in ProgDVB I don't get video.

You try change setting for x32 codec, but use x64 ProgDVB.
Install and configure K-Lite Codec Pack 64-bit or use ProgDVB x32.
