import xmltv file not working

Im trying to import an xml file on my new install.. everytime i click update it just flashes updating on the screen for a split second then dissapears. No channels are displaying in the mapping section. I've downloaded Prog Guide and i can see the channels and the listings in that so it's not the xm...

Using dabdig

Im trying to set up a small command line app with progdvb. I have digiguide for pc and this would allow me to right click and set the recordings from there. However it is not recording. Does anyone else use this setup or know of any other way to set recordings from digiguide? Scratch most of that......
