Well, I spent now 2 days of my life to realyze that the COMPUTERBILD version of ProgDVB will not work with my "Hauppauge WinTV Nova-S-Plus 92001 LF PCI" TV Card (error Message: device not activated), so I can not watch Sattelite

If I install the commercial version, it works properly (but I did not bought this yet), so I can not record and I missing a lot of function.

My question:
Why is my card with the COMPUTERBILD edition not available?

Do anybody knows a sollution?

I installed the TV card with the original, current available Hauppauge drivers.
Yes , I red something about other BDA driver, from the root manufacturer of these TV-cards, but on the homepage I could not find it. Do you have any suggestion?

try start ProgDVB with admin rights (check this option in ProgDVB shortcut). Also I am not recommend use x64 version if problem with driver.

well, I use the good old WinXP... So there ai have no Admin troub m es like on Win7 systems.

Regarding BDA driver....
I do not understand it really, because the same card drivers are in use with the commercial version as like with ComputerBild version too. But why don't works only with the CB version? It is not logic for me...
One thing I will try yet. I will install the ProgDVB version, wich is pressed on the CD in the Magazin. This is the version 6.7x.- the online version is 6.86x.
Maybe will change something....

You can try last version of CB from site.

Last CB version of the site is not working... that is the trouble!
Error during choose the Card "device not started".

The last buy version (installed as trial) is working- of course only few functions available.

Therefore I want to use CB version, because I have the magazin, and the Key Code for this, the software is also available here, so that have to work, I guess

Please try copy files from modules directory of good version to CB version.

It seems to work... It scanns the sender right now on Astra 19.2°E and Hotbird 13°E.

As you proposed, after installing the buy/trial version, I saved the "modules" Folder on the desktop. Than de-installed the trial, and installed the CB version. Thand closed the launcher, replaced the "modules" folder,and started the program.

As I said, it seems to work, it is not yet finished...
In all case I will report again, what is the result.

I want to digitalise some VHS-C videos from former time...

I am not recommend use analog function in ProgDVB. This is not for all devices and not best way.

How would you record the VHS-C videos over the WinTV Nova-S TV card?

Over analog port? I think yes. But I am recommend look special analog software.

Do you have a proposal, which analog software is recommended?
Or coud I install the Hauppauge software parallel to ProgDVB?
I guess, the hauppauge was able to switch to analog port. The question is, if one disturbs the other?

You can install more one software but I am not recommend start more one at once.
