No longer able to load playlists -SOLVED

#1
Hi,
I've used ProgDVB for a number of years without issue.
In the past few weeks i've been unable to load or connect to any of my 3 playlists.

My ISP is V......M.... and the usually block certain ones at peak times (Saturdays) which didn't really bother me. If I wanted to use it on a Saturday, running through a VPN would bring it all back.

My problem is that none of my 3 accounts will load or connect. This only happens with ProgDVB as I also use other apps and PC software which all work fine.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated as ProgDVB is the only one with a record function.

Here's the error I get now with or without the VPN.

Thank you

Re: No longer able to load playlists - SOLVED

OK I think I've found the solution which hopefully will help others in the future.

Some IPTV providers lock their M3U URLs, preventing any editing. Therefore, when attempting to load a locked M3U, ProgDVB throws an 884 error code.

Additionally, when trying to use m3u-editor, it won’t allow editing, resulting in an error code.

Regular IPTV apps allow the M3U because it’s solely for playback purposes but ProgDVB is more advanced

My solution was to enter the m3u in it's broken down format (Host, Login and Password) into Settings- TV Sources - Xtream Codes. In short, enter the playlist as Xtreme codes and not m3u.

Another solution i found online was go to xtream-editor.com or a similar platform and allow it to create and modify your Extreme playlist using your Extreme credentials. Once done, Extreme generates a new M3U URL and XMLTV URL, which you can then paste back.

Hop this helps
