I am sorry to say that, but i have exacly the same problem.
It occures maybe a half year ago, that from one point i couldnt start the programm, it went into the formerly described crashloop.

No idea what previous changes made it crash, i used to be a free user because im looking television only very casual, so i used the wonderfull free version. (Thank you very mutch for this wonderful software )
I havnt followed the version numbers of Progdvb, so i cannot say, when there was an error.

My rig is a amd5000+ with nvidia 9800gt and 6gb ram under a win7_64 .

It would be great if this could be recreated anyhow, so it can be fixed in the near future.
That is, because there is no other really cool and free dvb programm ^^

After removing the remote control section in the ProgDVB.ini file it starts up.

I removed

[RemoteControl]
PluginName=UnivHIDRemoteControl.RcModule


I hope this can help somewhat to resolve the problem...

Thanks for the advice, but this doesn't help on my machine, the problem is still there after removing the [RemotecControl] section from ProgDVB.ini.
Any other approaches?

I just wanted to chime in that I have exactly the same problem.
Its been there since 6.63.
Tried reinstalling the NET Framework, copying all NET files from a machine that has no problems as I got a NET Framework error after I tried installing the NET 2.0 Framework supplied on the download page.
Removed FFDShow from system.
Uninstalled ProgDVB, removed all registry entries, manually deleted all remaining files...

Just tried installing 6.61, and after deleting progdvb.ini that version works.

Then installed 6.82 and it doesnt start even after deleting progdvb.ini

Same problem with both, 32bit and 64bit. (Just rechecked that)

When deleting progdvb.ini the newly created one only has
"[Options]
ExitCheck=1"


Machine is a Core i920, Nvidia GTX275 Driver version: 285.62
Windows 7 64bit. Installation is 2 1/2 years old

I have two other machines with Windows 7 64 bit on which 6.82 works fine, those have rather fresh windows installations.

What message you have? Send me files from Logs directory.

Unfortunalty I have no log files. The crash manager says "moving logs to /Report" that directory doesnt exist, no other log files can be found in the ProgDVB Directory.

Please check Settings->Options->Debug->Logs

Just for you I deinstalled 6.61 and installed 6.82 (64bit)

As I cant get into ProgDVB I couldnt set the options, however adding

btw, is it depended from skin? Very strange place for crash.

I tried disabling all modules after another, changed skin and osd to sunny, disabled timeshift and killed progDVB.ini alltogether (32 bit) no success...
