BTW, never forget to include all available error messages into your report, at least the important parts.
And if none showing up, describe the crash and it's behaviour and possibly results.

OK - first of all it is the standard windows error message - ProgDVB has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. Send - don't send error report

When I look at the details of it I get - AppName: progdvb.exe AppVer: 4.0.0.0 ModName: msdvbnp.ax
ModVer: 6.5.2600.2180 Offset: 00004f12[/b]

And that's it. I deleted all plugins as you mentioned before but it's the same deal. I get it witlh all versions of ProgDVB. It isnt a killer error as everything else works ok with or without plugins. Have no problems with any other software on this computer.

Any suggestions?

msdvbnp.ax is a DirectShow filter, belonging to DirectX.
It does not come with ProgDVB (or any other DVB application I have).

No idea 'bout module versions, but mine has a quite different one, 6.5.01.0900
This may depend on OS version.
But you should, at least, update DirectX to latest version and install all patches for it.
And get DVB related MS patch(es) as well.

That's all I can tell, as I don't have your card type.

I think DirectX is up to date but I will doublecheck and report back. Can you shed any light on DVB related patches. I'm not familiar with that one.

Use the search function on 'patch', for example...

Did we get a solution on this ?
I ask because I have exactly the same problem (and same card, version, OS etc.). It is a "clean" install of XP SP2 - only drivers/codecs being those installed by ProgDVB.

L'instruction à "0x011460de" emploie l'adresse mémoire "0x011835e8". La mémoire ne peut pas être "read".

I have given up on trying to find a solution. I have tried every conceivable option but it ALWAYS crashes on exit (but ONLY on exit). Since everything else works fine I an accepting this little annoyance.

I'm having the same issue with ProgDVB (v4.85.3); only on my system it's the quartz.dll (File Version: 6.5.2600.3024) that's in the crash error info.

sometimes ...chosing an other video renderer (vmr 9 , 7 or progdvb renderer ) helps...

To change to the progdvb renderer solve this Problem. I am not shure why ,but it works for me. THX

ProgDVB has potential, but its stability issues forced me to uninstall it.

I paid for another DVB-T software that works perfectly. Thanks anyway!
