Hi,

a working colleague got the advise to buy the progdvb Elecard Edition to watch DVB-S2 Channels on Astra.

I´ve told him that the elecard edition promise with the benefits to

"Ability to watch AVC/H.264 video (include DVB-S2) if appropriate codecs are installed (v 2.0 will include AVC codec in the pack) "

At first i said to him he must add the S2 parameter in the satx.ini file to find the dvb-s2 after a new scan. That works. He found all DVB-S2 Channels, the Elecard AVC Filter, and all other are registered, but he got the error message that the filter is NOT found. He tried other avc filters, but progdvb didn´t find any filter. The audio Filters for the DVB-S2 Channels are working so far.

What´s going wrong ??

As usual go in \progdvb\filters and doubleclick the ´register.bat´ file

We also installed the latest Version 5 , find the HD Channels , but got blank screen., so the same problem.

The AVC Plugin ist activated. the filters under \ProgDVB\Filters are registered with the batfile.

Where is the problem that it is not working ?

Yep, you are right, i´ve started a new try with repaired directshow filters /codecs. Someone have been deregistrated, and some filters had have a bad merrit in the registry.

is very helpful to learn a lot about the work of filters in the directshow sytem. You can make al lot of changes for a propably directshow working

I can now confirm that the pinncale Sat HDTV USB Box is able to work with DVB-S2 Channels using the latest ProgDVB. 4X

Yeah ...filtergraphs and codecs are really the most discussed issue in every dvb-board (the windows directshow system is very sensible...mostly codecpacks doing bad things with it....better never use them )....a real never ending Story...
