Same problem to me, 10 seconds to close.

After several versions without updating and using version 7.51.6 due to the problems indicated at the beginning of the post, with version 7.53.6 it no longer takes so long to close.
I don't know exactly in which version something that was modified in 7.52.0 was changed and now it closes correctly.

Same free version, 32 bits.
In version 7.52.0 something was changed that made it take me a long time to close. I tried several later versions within 7.52.X but the same thing happened and I stopped updating and stayed on 7.51.6. I think I tried 7.53.0 and it kept happening to me that it took a long time to close.
With 7.53.6 I no longer have that problem. Something has happened in between.
Now it works fine.

Do you test 7.53.7?
