[skystar HD] application error on channel scan all the time

hello,
i'm using progdvb 4.85.3 with latest bda drivers 4.4.10.18 (09.02.07) from technotrend on WindowsXP32. same problem with beta drivers 5.0.0.2 (15.05.07). I have installed the latest SP and all updates from windowsupdate and KB896626. i'm on a core2duo with intel reference motherboard DG965WH of course with latest bios and chipset drivers. i don't use diseqc. i have only one LNB connected to a multiswitch.

when i scan channels on astra 1c-1h and 2c i always get a crash on transponder 47. when i do a manual transponder scan on 47 it also crashes. i tried clean installs of progdvb, i tired different versions, i tired various PCI slots and i already returned my skystar hd because it thought it was a hardware error. with my new skystar hd i keep on getting this error. when i stop the search before trabsponder 47 i can watch all channels it has found so far.

here are screenshots of the errormsg

what can i do?
What transponder are you talking about?

Transponder 47 on Astra 19.2°E is used for analogue services, according to latest listings of ses-astra:

11,1708 GHz Transponder 47 ASTRA 1L

TV
1-2-3.tv (06.00 - 02.00h) Shopping deutsch 7,02/7,20

Radio
WDR 4 Unterhaltungdeutsch14207,38/7,56

ProgDVB does not see any analogue signals, won't even try to scan from (of course non existing) ID tables there.

And there's no DVB TID 47 on that bird system.

Or are you refering to the line number in YOUR transponder list?
Those may vary, so please post tecnical parameters instead.

To exclude a transponder from scanning, cut out it's whole line from the INI. Paste it at the end. Exchange the line numbers of the former last entry and the pasted one.
By this procedure you can avoid to edit all the following line numbers.
Reduce the transponder entry counter at the top of the list by one, so it becomes smaller than the line mumber of the now last one, that has to be ignored. Scaning will stop after the one with the count number.

BTW, are you talking about a HD / DVB-S2 transponder, by chance?

How are L and Q readings, generally?

Another aspect:
Such problems may (but not must) result from a partly corrupt (or incompatible) channel data base.
Therefore, make a safety copy of your channels folder, then delete all that's in there, start to make a completetly new channel list and scan.
You could step back by replacing with the old files, just in case....

Last idea now:
Remove all unnecessary device and module files from the modules folder, deactivate EPG and TXT module, deactivate or better remove all plugins temporarily.
i am refering to the number on the bottom of the channel search window. 47/73. could also be 48 that is responsable for the crash. maybe it crashes before the number changes to 48.

it is also crashing when i click on this transponder in the "scan transponder" window. 12285 - V - 27500 is the "crash transponder". it crashes right after i select this frequency

ok, i will try that

i dont think so

on most channels i have 100% quality und 72-72% level

my install is completely new, fresh an clean. nothing from old progdvb install copied.
Last idea now:

ok, i will try that.

thank you for your answer

i removed "47=12285,V,27500,34; CanalSat France" from the .ini file and then it crashed on another transponder: "51=12363,V,27500,34; CanalSat France"

i also removed this line from the .ini file and now the scan completes without any error.

really strange

Indeed, that's strange.
I don't have any problem with those transponders over here.

FYI, "the number on the bottom of the channel search window 47/73" in fact refers to a line of your transponder file, and nothing but that. This for, it can be user specific, and does not help understanding.
Same as with channel numbers and alike.
So we have to use valid technical data instead, like frequency, data rate, IDs.
