Twinhan 1027 diseqc problem

Hi all,

two days ago I bought a Twinhan 1027. My antenna has a diseqc for a dual feed system (Asta+Hotbird).

I'm using the latest BDA drivers vers. 1.0.2.9.

Software included in the Twinhan CD can switch between the two satellites.

But in Progdbd I can only scan transponders on the satellite previously selected with the original software...

I have tried to modify the diseqc settings in many ways, without results...

Can someone help me?

Thank you very much.

Yes, I read the posts... but I hoped that someone could find a solution.
The cards works fine with its software and bda drivers.
Is it planned to fix the problem in progdvb or have I to buy another card?
However I am disappointed: in the Twinhan web site they say that the 1027 works with progdvb.... This in not true at 100%! So now I'll write to them, too!

the diseqC problem depends on the bda driver concept (that came (as other crap too) from M$)...it doesn´t know about diseq ......the manufacturers of the card use propetary tricks in their own software to make diseq possible...and every manufacturer use different tricks to do that ...and mostly these tricks are not public ...so its very difficult for 3rd party software coders to do that too ...
Is it planned to fix the problem in progdvb or have I to buy another card?
Only prog knows this ;)

Dear SiLencer,

thank you for your explanation. Now I understand which is the problem...

I have tried to contact Twinhan, I hope they reply me soon...

So I suppose that the Twinhan software uses a dedicated library to control the diseqc... what do you think?

By the way, if I should buy another card (never more from Twinhan!), which are the best to use in Progdvb for Europe (Astra + Hotbird)?

Basically, all DVB devices should work fine with DiSEqC 1.0, that are merntioned to be supported, and that come with WDM drivers.

However, for any model, read before buying.
E.g. to avoid possible mainboard chipset incompatibility (like with the SS1 premium) and similar...

In same order, I cant get 4x1 switch Diseqc 1.0 to work with TT 3200 S2 driver 4.4.10.18, using ProgDVB 4.85 or 5.09, but working well using the TT-MC, MyTheater and DVBviewer (under XP32)
I got signal only when ProgDVB startup, when changing channel, transponder or satellite the signal goes down.
Tested also the TT 2300 S, the switch work also with ProgDVB 5.09.
If I remember in old ProgDVB, option to resend Diseqc command existed, it is this option who enable MT to work with this switch.
