progdvb polarization problem or something

Hi,
i'm not sure if anyone can help me but i'm having a somewhat wierd problem.. it seems to happen on both 4.x and 5.x versions of progdvb
its when i'm switching between horizontal and vertical transponders..

what happens is that, if i go scan transponder, usually i start off with being able to lock vertical.. then i alternate to H transponder, it wont lock. then i lock again to a V, then it locks then i go to H again and it does not lock, then i go to V and now does not lock, then H finally locks, then go to V and does not lock, H locks, V NO lock, H NO lock, then V locks again, H NO lock, V lock, H NO lock, V NO lock, H Locks. etc etc. alternates perfectly like that..

I'm on a twinhan 1028 PCIe SE200 Card,
and it seems to work in mt.. and i'm locking onto 82 or 91.

if anyone has any insight that would be helpful. thanks.
Z

Obviously you're American.

Perhaps you're using D*shNetwork dish and LNB(s)?

There are several non standard LNBs on your market, that are using band stacking instead of voltage controlled polarisation switching. Proprietary stuff from the opposite side of this planet...

ProgDVB is not designed to handle that kind of LNB directly.

And this for you would need special LNB settings and transponder lists.

Please (register and) read at dvbn.happysat.org
They have a great NA section over there, and you should find everything that's necessary.

MT does know some extra tricks, but that's normal on commercial products. They even can buy knowledge if required...
