Regarding comctl32.dll, there have been several patches after SP2.

Not all of those are installed automatically by Windows Update, some may require license verification.
So perhaps search MS knowledge base for this.

However, there's no must, this file really causes that problem.

I'm not using XP over here, so that's all I can tell.

i have the same problem with COMCTL32.dll + progdvb 4.89 + xp sp2 + skystar1 rev1.5 + the latest technotrend drivers.
i`ve searched over the microsoft knowledge base and installed the WindowsXP-KB884883-v8 patch and the problem still persists. the application crashes from time to time.
i wanna buy the full version but i`m confused with this problem. please advise!

Hardmode or softmode? No plugins?

Try to remove all unnecessary modules and devices.

Then remove the EPG module temporarily and test again.

Also let us know what satellite(s) you're on, and give a few example stations.

If possible, take a look at memory usage.

Prog needs as many relevant details as possible, to get closer to the source of that problem.
