Dear All
I was relieved to have found a forum for the progDVB application. I have installed the driver of my card ( Samsung-EZ VIEW TYPE). The PC detected it correctly (core Due CPU, 2 GB of RAM). I installed active 9.0 and then installed the progDVB application.
Now, when it comes to DiseqC information. I have added 3 LNBs with the 1.0 or 2.0 DiseqC option selected. These are “ARABSATA2,A3”, “NILESAT101,102” & “HOTBIRD1,2,3,4”. I kept the default values for LOF1, SWITCH & LOF2 un-changed for each of the LNBs.
When I run the search on each LNB, I get the channel list, a quality of 100, Level of 40-60, however, channel do get stuck! Scrambled!
I assume this is to do with the LNB settings (LOF1,2 & Swithc).
By the way, I live in Bahrain (Middle East- Persian Gulf region).
What should I do?

Appreciate your valuable help/comments :)

If the channel names and parameters are found on scan times, there's nothing wrong with the LNB parameters, as that's what they are needed for.

If FTA stations are getting found marked as scrambled, there are two possible reasons, either they are falsely marked as scrambled in the tables that are transmitted and read ad scan time, or there is some stream reading trouble on your system, caused by networking trouble, charset problems or the ProgDVB version itself.
But if channel props do show the scrambled flag falsely, you should still have audio and video there, if in fact the streams are not scrambled..

If also not having audio and video on FTA stations not marked as scrambled, either the PIDs for both aren't found, or you don't have a codec (DirectShow filter) installed / selected..

Most stations should carry the correct flag, though some providers mark their PPV channels as FTA whilst they really are scrambled, some other stupid do it the other way around. If so, this goes for all DVB applications, receivers included.

If also not having audio and video on FTA stations not marked as scrambled, either the PIDs for both aren't found, or you don't have a codec (DirectShow filter) installed / selected.

Please try to find out precisely.

You may post a few examples on FTA stations on hotbird, as I can compare then.
Include transponder frequency and station name plus audio, video and system ID from your channel properties..
