upon opening the Prog DVB version 5.12 it show an error of failed to initialized. But for version 4.87.5 its working perfectly what was the problem why version 5.12 failed to initialized.


CPU - p4 3.0 gigaherzt
OS - WinXP service pack2
TV card - SkyStar2 PCI DVB-S

what precisely do you mean by 'failed to initialize'?
What driver do you use?
Did you try any 5.x version before?

If this was a gerneral issue, we would already know from a multitude of SS2 users.

the driver i am using for my skystar2 PCI is version 4.4.1.0 driver date is 10/1/2007. Actually Sir this is the first time i install ProgDVB5x std. When i am trying to open it the program wont initialized instead there i a popup window appeared telling the program failed to initialize. But for the ProgDVB4x no problem i can open the program.

Precision, please.

Sir, here is what the popup window says;

ProgDvbNet.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135). Clik on Ok to terminate the application

Windows Update provides .NET framework 1, 1.1, 2 and 3.
